The global credit ratings system is rapidly losing credibility in the eyes of LBBW Chief Economist Moritz Kraemer, who is now sounding the alarm. In this exclusive conversation, Moritz warns of major economic risks brewing beneath the surface, highlighting runaway U.S. debt and volatile American policy decisions that will destabilize markets.
 
Germany in the meantime is being held back by outdated investments as well as demographic shifts. Moritz stresses the urgency for Germany to innovate and reform before lasting damage is done. The country is at critical crossroads, but the potential upside is still there long-term.
